2017 OUTSTANDING ALUMNUS
BRAD SHARP, Class of 1972
An Outstanding Alumnus is an alum who has generously dedicated his or her time to the service of the Upper Arlington Alumni Association and its mission.

Brad Sharp, a member of the UAHS Class of 1972 (the largest class in UAHS history) has been active on the UA Alumni Association (UAAA) Board of Directors since 2002. He regularly attends Board meetings which require him to commute from his home near Dayton, Ohio.

During his tenure, Brad has assisted in the recruitment of new Board members, developing and executing plans to educate and inform alumni about the purpose and benefits of the UAAA and the conceptualization, planning and execution of the Golden Bear Rock Fest fundraiser.

Currently Brad's main responsibility on the Board is the identification of potential candidates for the Distinguished and Outstanding Alumni Awards and making sure, if possible, that they are honored in years where their class is having a reunion gathering. In addition, Brad has been a key member of his Class of 1972 reunion planning committee since 1987.

Brad is the Chairman of the Class of 1972 Legacy Fund; an undertaking with the goal of raising a $150,000 endowment fund for the UA Educational Foundation (UAEF) by their 50 year reunion in 2022.

Brad has further supported UAEF by becoming a "Planned Giving Donor," making the Foundation part of his estate planning. Find out how YOU can be a Planned Giving Donor too.
